What is Creator Rewards Program?
Creator Rewards Program is a newly designed rewards feature for creators to monetise their content on TikTok. You can find more information here.
After joining Creator Rewards Program and connecting a payment method, you can collect higher Rewards from TikTok for eligible videos of a duration of at least 1 minute. For more information on video eligibility, please see the relevant section below.
Creator Rewards Program is subject to our Rewards Policy. For more information, check the Rewards Policy. In the event of a conflict between these terms and the Rewards Policy, these terms will prevail solely with respect to your participation in this Program.
Our Terms of Service also apply in the same way as they apply to any other activity or content on the Platform. In particular, please pay attention to the provisions around content and the grant of licence. If you use the Platform for purposes within your trade, business, craft or profession, the Business Terms also apply to your participation in Creator Rewards Program.
Creator Rewards Program is available only in selected countries, whether you are entitled to participate will depend on your country of residence. For this purpose, data will be processed in accordance with the Platform Privacy Policy.
During the time you are signed up for Creator Rewards Program, we may show your content to advertisers and brands so they can see the value of advertising on TikTok. You agree that we can use your content for this purpose.
Who can join the Creator Rewards Program?
You can shift to Creator Rewards Program if:
- you reside in a country in which Creator Rewards Program is available and do not use a VPN or other similar tool;
- you have at least 10,000 authentic followers on the Platform;
- you have at least 100,000 authentic video views in total over the last 30 days prior to joining either the Creator Fund or the Creator Rewards Program;
- your account on the Platform is not a Business Account;
- you are not an employee, officer or contractor of TikTok;
- your account on the Platform is in good standing with the Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines and any other applicable Platform terms and policies.
Participation in Creator Rewards Program doesn't require payment.
What can I get if I join Creator Rewards Program?
Creator Rewards Program is a Program through which you can collect Rewards from TikTok, in addition to rewards you may collect from time to time through other features.
Rewards are calculated dynamically based on the country of the video views origin, the number of video views, video engagement and authenticity of a video view.
Participant's legitimate, unique video views on qualifying videos are determined by TikTok and exclude video views that we determine:
- are artificially produced or obtained;
- are your own views; or
- are otherwise obtained in violation of the Rewards Policy or the Community Guidelines.
For the avoidance of doubt, not all content you post to participate in the Creator Rewards Program will collect Rewards.
Reward Payments under the Creator Rewards Program will be free of charge.
No payments are due to participants for use of their content, in accordance with the Terms of Service.
What videos can collect Rewards?
Creator Rewards Program rewards content that meets all these criteria:
- It must be one minute or longer;
- It must reach at least 1,000 qualified views*;
- It is not a Duet or Stitch video;
- It is not a Photo Mode video;
- It is not an advertisement, paid promotion, or sponsored content;
- It is original content and produced entirely by the creator and/or adds new ideas to preexisting content;
- It is high quality as determined by TikTok in its sole discretion; and
- It does not violate these Creator Rewards Program Terms, the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Copyright Policy and any other Platform terms and policies which may apply. *Qualified views are those that a user views for five seconds or more, are not marked by the viewer as "not interested" and it would not be otherwise reasonable or fair to consider as qualified (the views generated from the same user account will be counted as one view).
How will I know if I have collected something?
You can check how many Rewards you have collected in the last 30 days by accessing your account balance through Profile > Balance > Others> Monthly Earnings.
The Program page will be updated daily.
TikTok does not process any payments made under this Program. TikTok integrates with a third party payment service provider, PayPal, which, through Hyperwallet, is responsible for all aspects of the processing of the transaction, subject to the Hyperwallet terms and the Hyperwallet Privacy Policy.
TikTok may provide a dashboard reflecting your estimated Rewards in U.S dollars on the Program dashboard daily. The conversion (if applicable) may be provided based on the daily exchange rate. Any Rewards accumulated under the Program will be calculated in the month following the date that the Rewards were collected. Following processing of fees, Rewards, and the applicable tax, these Rewards will then become redeemable and paid on the 15th of each month if the payable amount is equal to or exceeds the minimum payment threshold of $50.00 USD or its equivalent in local currency ("Minimum Payment Threshold") and you're in compliance with the Creator Rewards Program Terms and Policies. The payable amount, even if lower than the minimum payment threshold, will be transferred to you as set out on the Balance dashboard. While payments will be made on the 15th of the month, the time of receipt will depend on the payment service provider. If the transfer cannot be completed due to issues relating to your payment method, TikTok will contact you to rectify their account information and retry the transfer.
We will forfeit any balance related to the Creator Rewards Program after 2 years if you fail to fill in the required information for your onboarding and payment method.
You can check the transaction history any time via Profile > Balance > Others > Monthly Earnings.
Transaction fees: Your payment method provider might charge you fees when processing our payment, according to the contract you concluded with them; for more information, please refer to the applicable terms.
Any payments you receive do not reflect or guarantee your entitlement to any future payment.
You must not sell, assign or otherwise transfer any right to receive payment without our permission. Breaching this restriction may result in termination of your access to Creator Rewards Program.
Creator must complete all the onboarding requirements, including providing tax information, to receive rewards. Creator is responsible for linking and maintaining an accurate, up-to-date Payment Account that complies with these Creator Rewards Program Terms and the terms of PayPal, and TikTok will not be responsible for any delay, failure, or inability to transfer payment to Creator’s Payment Account due to any reason out of TikTok’s control, including Creator’s failure to comply with these Creator Rewards Program Terms or the terms of PayPal.
Can I lose access to Creator Rewards Program?
In addition to the reasons set out in the Rewards Policy, we may temporarily or permanently suspend or terminate your access to this Program or access to Rewards that you have collected through this Program if:
- you become involved in any situation or occurrence which reflects unfavourably upon you or TikTok (including the Platform or the Program); or
- you make any derogatory public statement or comment concerning TikTok (including the Platform or the Program).
You can withdraw from the Creator Rewards Program by contacting us through the Feedback functionality.
Confidentiality
Any information about us, our affiliates, or our products, including the Platform and the Program, that is made available to you under this Program which is not otherwise publicly available, is TikTok’s confidential information (“Confidential Information”).
The details of rewards, reporting metrics, or other non-public information contained or resulting from your participating in this Program shall be considered Confidential Information and not published or shared with any third party, except to legal or professional advisors.
You may issue or authorise publication of official news stories or publicity relating to your participation in this Program, provided TikTok gives express written authorisation at least 24 hours in advance. You understand that we may issue an official press release relating to this Program and your participation, provided any inclusion of your details will be subject to your prior written consent, not to be unreasonably withheld, conditioned, or delayed.
